ITINERARY DAY: 01 ISLAMABAD Arrival Islamabad transfer to Hotel for overnight. DAY: 02 ISLAMABAD TO SKARDU/CHILAS Transfer to airport. Flight to Skardu by PK 451. Its world’s most spectacular Air Journey over highest mountain ranges having glimpses of Nanga Parbat (the Killer Mountain). Its nice occasion to opportunists and hobby seekers for having photographs. The snow-capped mountain represents the real show of Adventure. Note: In case of flight cancellation group will move by road through KKH the 8th wonder of world. KKH runs side by side of Indus “the Lion River” gulping the streams, yielding ecstatic views of confluence and water fallings. The roaring Indus seems competing with KKH. 9 to 10 hours travel. Overnight Hotel in Chilas. DAY: 03 CHILAS TO SKARDU Early in the morning group will move towards Skardu, crossing over rope bridges and culverts. It will reach after 8 to 9 hours driving. Overnight Hotel in Skardu. DAY: 04 DEOSAI Drive by jeep through Satpara Lake to Deosai plateau. Deosai, the land of lakes and wild flowers, a vast high altitude plateau at an average height of 3,800 meters the undulating, green and flower filled meadows are surrounded by snow capped peaks. The drive through these plains is a soul stirring experience. This inhabited alpine grassland has numerous clear streams with unusual snow trout, a brown bear population and a lot of golden marmots. Overnight at Skardu. DAY: 05 SKARDU TO DUBLA KHAN 3 to 4 hours jeep drive from Skardu to Bukma and then a path across cultivated fields for another hour trek to Olma, the last permanently village, after which the valley narrows and the track is squeezed between steep cliffs and the swift river. Above the gorge there are no more trees, and a short climb brings you after a third hour to the shepherds’ summer settlement, with huts set amid rolling pastures. An hour later you arrive at Dubla Khan, the last shepherds’ settlements. Overnight in Tents. DAY: 06 DUBLA KHAN ACROSS THE THALLE LA TO DESERPA Seven to eight hours (fours hours up and three hours down). At Dubla Khan the valley divides, the northern branch leads to the Tusserpo Pass (5,084 meters), the western branch to the Thalle La. After two hours you will reach the top and you can see the view of western Masherbrum Range and Mango Gusor (6,288 meters). Over night in Tents. DAY: 07 DESERPA TO SHIGAR SKARDU Three to fours trek. After one-hour trek from Deserpa, at the junction of the two rivers at Baumahrel, the path from Tusserpo Pass rejoins the Thalle route. Below this junction the alley is barren, the way passing through several gorges with high cliffs. After an hour treks you will find jeeps and they will take you back to Skardu. Overnight Hotel. DAY: 08 SKARDU TO ISLAMABAD / CHILAS Transfer to airport to fly Islamabad by PK 452. Note: In case of flight cancellation group will move by road through KKH Overnight Hotel in Chilas. DAY: 09 CHILAS TO ISLAMABAD Early in the morning group will move towards Islamabad. DAY: 10 ISLAMABAD TO TAXILA AND ONWARDS Note: If you have evening flight then early morning after breakfast proceed by coach to Taxila, situated 35 miles from Rawalpindi. Taxila once the seat of oriental culture. It was first mentioned as a satrap of Achaemeenian Empire in 6th century BC. It was invaded by the Macedonian Alexander and passing along to other rulers until finally reaching the hands of Ashoka the Great, who moulded the city in to a centre of Philosophy, Art and Education. The creative Gandhara period followed shortly thereafter and Taxila remained a prosperous city. It came to a disastrous end when sacked by white Huns. Today Taxila is an archaeologist’s paradise here is a well-maintained museum and eight sites. Among best-preserved are Sirkap, Julian, Mohair Maradu and Bhirmond.
